The Port Gilimanuk is 129 kilometers from the city of Denpasar with a good (although very busy) road connection.

This is an important gateway linking the islands of Bali and Java.

Gilimanuk is the primary port for passenger ferries and Roll on Roll off (RoRo) cargo from Surabaya in Java.

The ferries leave on a regular basis, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week between Gilimanuk and Banyuwangi (Surabaya) on Java Island.

In addition, this port provides connection to other destinations such as Pandang Bai and Nusa Tenggara archipelago.

PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Indonesia operates the port
and a number of passenger and cargo ferry services.
PT. Pelni shipping lines provide inter-island sea connections for
passenger travel throughout the archipelago of Indonesia.
There is also an independent facility managed by Pertamina for the
discharge and loading of petroleum products.
