Port Overview
Port Tilik is entered about 5 miles southeast of Lubang, sheltered from all winds, and is completely protected from the sea. The holding ground within Port Tilik is good, but the small anchorage area is restricted to small vessels with local knowledge. A light marks the west side of the entrance to the port. The narrow entrance, between the reefs on either side, is open to the north-northwest and has depths of 18 to 26 m. A drying reef divides the head of the port into two small, but good anchorages. The west shore of the port can be approached until the anchorage off the west entrance point is reached, where there are depths of 6 to 9 m, mud and sand.
